Ferran Barenblit (Buenos Aires, 1968)
is a museum director and curator. Over the past twenty years, he has served as director of three Spanish museums, including the Centro de Arte Santa Mònica (2002–2008); CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (2008–2015); and MACBA Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (2015–2021). In recent years, he has been a visiting professor at the University of Michigan (2021–2023); curator of the Cuenca Biennial, Ecuador (2023); and curator of various exhibitions such as Ben Vautier: Death Does Not Exist (MUAC, Mexico City); Fictions: Narrativity in Contemporary Art (Museo de Arte de Zapopan, Jalisco); and Max de Esteban: Aesthetics of Extinction (Muntref, Buenos Aires; ECA Mendoza; Fundación Texo, Asunción).
