Fuga Morra

Marc Schrammen Grübl

Bio

Marc Schrammen Grübl was born in Asunción in 1971. In his youth he took oil and watercolor painting classes. Then for approx. 30 years he worked as financial advisor but focused his passion for art becoming an avid art collector.
In recent years he started to focus on erotic art and the male figure in art. When he realised that not many artists did the kind of work he would like to see, he decided to create them by himself.
This is how he started to create his own artworks in ceramics, hand-painted natural silk and sculptures with reclidec materials.

Statement

Although it might be less obvoius in some pieces, my art focuses on masculinity in its most primitive essence: the male body and muscles, the body hair and, of course, the phallus. ( becoming the phallus himself sometimes in a character )
To me, a piece of art is not just a decorative object that can be paired with other objetcs as part of a decoration.. I expect a piece of art to trigger a reaction in the viewer, whether it is confort or disconfort, but a reaction.
