AJÚRA
Christian Ceuppens + Carolina Noguera
Process-Based Dialogue
Ajúra represents a unique encounter between two complementary creative worlds: the ancestral ceramic tradition of Carolina Noguera and the contemporary exploration of form, material, and space by Christian Ceuppens, marked by a strong architectural imprint.
Developed over several months of shared exploration in collaboration with Viedma Galería de Arte, this joint project investigates how two distinct materials and fields of practice can come together to create a shared language.
The neck emerges as a symbolic element of vital connection—representing the interweaving of the ancestral and the modern, the coil technique passed down through generations, and the architecture of space. In this convergence, the black ceramics of Tobatí embrace the shapes and discourses of contemporary design, resulting in pieces that breathe both tradition and innovation.
The focus of this exhibition lies in the process itself—in that shared time where both creators have learned from one another, exchanging knowledge and reflections to shape a unique and unrepeatable body of work. The true value of this proposal lies in the fact that the sum of their work transcends individual authorship, creating something far greater than the simple addition of two artistic practices.
