Some years ago, while touring an art gallery in the city of Santiago, I found myself in front of some works by Roberto Matta. I looked at them and let myself be enveloped by that kind of spatial landscape, by the characters and by the cube. I knew his works and history, but I think that in that moment of "envelopment" was when I was infected with the "Matta virus", from which -unfortunately- I never got cured. I acquired a work and left with a soul full of joy, like a child discovering his first treasure. Since that day, destiny has pushed me towards his works and that small treasure has become a collection of the "master" as well as other artists, who together with my father have made us feel that magic that produces the conjunction of colors, shapes and strokes of a work of art. After ten years of collecting we decided to take a step forward and create our own gallery, our "Prima Galería" to enjoy and share art with family, friends and collectors.
