Marcos Benítez
Bio
He develops his works on the border between academic traditions of Paraguayan modern art and contemporary and popular expressions, with engraving productions that dialogue with Paraguayan popular art from a conceptual perspective. He has exhibited individually and collectively since 1995 and is the winner of various awards and recognitions, including the "Henri Matisse" and the "Livio Abramos". He is a member of the People of Art Association.
Statement
Marcos Benítez takes on the complicated challenge of naming the brand new hybridity of that nearby world and of connecting it with his own work.
