Julia Isidrez

She lives and works in Itá, Paraguay.
She learns with his mother Juana Marta Rodas (Itá, 1925, Paraguay) the trade of ceramics to which he dedicates himself professionally.
Both preserve the techniques of the Guarani grandmothers but know how to express through them their own sensitivity and the new conditions of their time. Their works, whimsical objects driven by pure imagination and the irrepressible creative impulse of these peasant artists, become one of the most original testimonies of popular art in Paraguay today.
