In the last decade consequences of human displacement has been a concern that is reflected in her work, same as personal drifts that make part of a highly technified society acostad by a vigilance system that scrutinizes daily life to its most minute details.

Statement

Ondulaciones de la memoria
Curated by Adriana Almada
The archives poetry and remission to memory gadgets have made up a huge part of contemporary artistic practices. Adriana Gonzalez Brun’s work does not scape said interests. Born under Stroessner’s dictatorial regime, with a dissident militancy running strong in her family, she has based her work on issues that range from social and political to intimate and private. Her language has always been transdisciplinary and has crossed installation, video, photography, sculpture, and engraving. In this expose one of the central nuclei is the sutil membrane of memory, just like fragility, vulnerability and the outdoors.
